Sample production of optical components and systems made of glass, plastic or in hybrid design
As soon as the optical / mechanical design documents produced by us or yourself are available, we can produce the initial samples.
For spherical optical precision components this is traditionally done by grinding & polishing. If aspherical surfaces are involved, too, the samples are produced on air-bearing, multi-axis diamond lathes.
For components for the field of illumination, low-cost experimental tools are made from master tools. Aspherical surfaces are naturally easier to make with this method. However here too diamond lathes uses to produce the tool inserts.
For optical plastic components an experimental tool and one-off production on diamond lathes also makes sense.
For all manufacturing processes sample records are provided which may differ according to the individual task.
Ideally the sample production is carried out at the facility where the series production is later to be carried out.
